Platelet Rich Plasma

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. Platelet rich plasma can be used under the eyes or on the scalp to regrow hair. It’s a cosmetic but non-surgical process that tightens the skin around your face and eyes to give you a more youthful appearance, all while reducing dark circles under the eyes and wrinkles. This process includes taking a small amount of blood from your arm into a tube and then spinning the blood down in a centrifuge, separating the red blood cells from the platelet rich plasma. The plasma is rich in platelets, stem cells, and growth factors and can be re-injected into the skin around your eyes to help improved the skin texture, laxity and improve dark circles. This process can be repeated every 4-6 weeks for 3 to 4 treatments for best results. PRP has been used and proven successful when injected into the scalp to regrow hair as well.
